Cartoonist’s Commentary:
This is actually one of my first webcomics where I used my paint program to do the shading on the furniture and the characters’ hair and clothes instead of using pencil. While there is a certain texture in pencil shading I find appealing, the time savings and ability to easily change the levels of shading made the new change a winner in my book. And since the eventual intent was to eventually transition to a color strip, it was a necessary intermediate step.
