Drawing this reminded me not only of the “E.T.” movie, but also playing the Atari game as a little kid. Or I should say, TRYING to play the game. For all the people who grew up well after the heyday of 80’s Atari, the game’s reputation as one of the worst video games ever is well deserved. Thankfully it belonged to a friend so at least it wasn’t my own Christmas money wasted on it. Nonetheless, that game represents hours of time I will never get back.
Oh, and if you’re thinking this comic strip is a jab at the shortsightedness of government bureaucracy and the companies that work hand-in-hand with them… well, you would be right. 😁
